Delilah Jean Phelps Estes Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Delilah Jean Phelps Estes (Greensburg, Kentucky), born in Hartford, Kentucky, who passed away on October 3, 2025 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Maurice Phelps and Virginia Mae McIntyre Phelps; and her siblings, Joe Phelps, Earl Phelps and Joreena Henderson.
She is survived by: her husband Dennis Wade Estes of Green County; her daughters, Donna Jean Despain (Darrell), Janie (Roger Goldsmith), Angie (Chad Patterson) and Denise (Victor Rose); her half-sister Lukendra Lockhart of Missouri; and her pet Buddy. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home (206 S Main St, Greensburg, KY 42743). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 at the Warf Cemetery.
The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Taylor Regional Hospital Cancer Center or the Gideon Bible Fund which can both be made at the funeral home.
