He was predeceased by : his sister Wanda Sue Matney; and his sisters-in-law, Shirley Kilby Matney and Alice Jean Grimsley Matney. He is survived by : his wife Patricia Rose Matney of Greensburg; his sons, Tony Matney, Jr. of Greensburg and Rodney Parrish of Greensburg; his grandchildren, Hannah Parrish of Greensburg, Jon Parrish of Greensburg and Raelyn Matney of Greensburg; his great grandchildren, Noah Parrish of Greensburg, Leah Rose Parrish of Greensburg and Layla Parrish of Greensburg; his siblings, Thomas (Ruth Matney), Eugene Matney of Campbellsville, Ronald (Shelia Matney), Kenneth Matney of Greensburg, Victor (Teresa Matney), Clinton (Mina Matney), Raymond (Sheila Matney), Barney (Rita Matney), Deloris (Dale Curry) and Margaret (Ronald Gene Tucker); his siblings-in-law, Jerry and Sue Hall of Summersville; and his close friend Robert Noegel of Columbia. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take form of donation to the Gideon Bible Fund or the Ronald McDonald House Charities, which can be made at the funeral home.
