She was predeceased by : her parents, John M. Williams and Eva A. Poole Williams; her husband Arthur Garland Sloan, Jr.; her grandchildren, Deidre Whitten and Jamie Sloan; her son-in-law Vaughn Timberlake; and her siblings, Wilbur of Lonnie, W. R., Andrew, Peyton Williams, Donnie Miller, Jane Chancellor, Aurelia Brinegar, Evelyn Jarboe and Ernestine Mattingly.

She is survived by : her children, Bobby Mattingly (Bonnie) of Manilla, William Sloan (Linda) of Louisa, Kentucky, Linda Timberlake of Port Charlotte and Janice Hill (Bruce) of Louisville, Kentucky; and her caregivers, Cynthia, Tracy, Nicole, Lynn and Helen. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and 6 great great grandchildren.
