He was predeceased by: his former wife Aloma Butterworth; his parents, C. B. Butterworth and Sallie Smothers Butterworth; and his siblings, Cecil Butterworth, Dorothy Basham Clark, Lillian Allen, Margie Duvall and Lyvonne Blan.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Butterworth; his children, Jason (Marsha), Tracy, Marlin (Judy) and Angie Schofield (Al); his sisters, Rita Lewis and Shirley Rutledge; his grandchildren, Mason, Natosha, Trey, Devin, Calvin, Kylin, Allison, Justin, Jyvanni, Amari, Janessa and Jazlyn; and his great grandchildren, Avery and Livia. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Manakee Funeral Home - Elizabethtown (2098 Leitchfield Rd, Elizabethtown, KY 42701). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
