She was predeceased by : her parents, Lewis Grubbs and Joann Grubbs; her husband Sam Pennington; her sons, Roger Pennington and Eddie Pennington; and her grandsons, Bobby, Bob and Randall Estes, Jr..

She is survived by : her children, Peggy Pennington of London, Rosie Pennington of Harlan, Brenda Whited (Bill) of Cincinnati, OH, Dorothy Louise Bridges of Cincinnati, OH, Jessie Pennington of Harlan, KY, Bobby Pennington of Harlan, KY, Johnny Pennington of Harlan, KY, Ken Pennington of Harlan, KY and Frank Pennington (Mary) of Harlan, KY; and her sister Georgia Shackleford of Cranks Creek. She is also survived by 21 Grandchildren, 37 Great Grandchildren and 15 Great Great Grandchildren.
