He was predeceased by: his stepmother Pearl Voyles; his former wives, Shirley Faye Wallace Voyles and Wilma Jean Hines Voyles; his children, Douglas Earl Voyles, Michael Lynn Voyles and Rebecca "Becky" Voyles Lindsey; his stepdaughter Debra Eversole; and his sister Thelma Blinco.
He is survived by: his son Richard Wayne Voyles (Janet); his half-brother Charles Voyles; his sister Connie Anderson; and his half-sister JoAnn Hernadez. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 2 step great-grandchildren.
