She was predeceased by : her parents, Lonard Harlan and Alberta Lyons Newton; her siblings, Harold Denton Newton, Lonard Wayne Newton and Alma Catherine Crowe; and her brother-in-law Steve Smith.

She is survived by : her husband Garland "Cobb" Patrick; her children, Sondra Swihart (Jeff) and Lundy Patrick (Odalis); her grandchildren, LaDonna, Christopher (Wanda), Ryan, Lindsey, Dayana (Witold), J. C. (Kayla), Haley (Martin), Noah and Drason; her great grandchildren, Callie, Isabella, Oliver, Owen, Laney, Lexie, Sofia and Jeremiah; and her siblings, Dayne Newton (Diana) and Wanda Smith. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
