He was predeceased by : his parents, John Baker and Celia Bowling Baker; his wife Kathleen Smith Baker; his daughter Gloria Baker; and his siblings, Loretta Newell, Floyd, Dink, Frank and Aguin Baker.

He is survived by : his children, Martha Everidge (Harold) of Somerset, KY, Robert Baker (Vicky) and Jeff Baker (Stacy) of Hindman, KY; his siblings, Malcom Baker and Carolyn Moore; his grandchildren, Jonathan, Chanelle, Anthony, Lauren, Brooklyn, Brayden and Kynley; his great grandchildren, Waylon, Jacob, Jaylon, Gavin and Victoria; and his close friend Steve Miller. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family & friends.
