He is survived by : his wife Vicki Carol Pierce Mayo; his parents, Richard Wayne Mayo, Sr. and Virginia Pryor Knowlton; his daughter Katherine Marie Mayo; his stepchildren, Virginia Elizabeth Santa Maria and Leif David Strong; and his siblings, Kenneth Ray Mayo, Tammy Annette Kortz, Charles Daniel Knowlton, Brian Keith Pryor, Charles Robert Mayo, Denise Dawn Mayo Cassetty, Cassandra Lynn Selburg, Lindsey Jo Mayo, Jerrilynn Whaley and Mariah Necole Hite. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
