He is survived by: his wife Suzy Schlegel of Hopkinsville, KY; his sister Martha "Marby" Schlegel of Lexington, KY; his sibling's children, Walton Smith of Great Falls, VA and Nancy Smith Goldman of Ashville, NC; his sister-in-law Sandy Russell Bryant (Robert) of Todd County, KY; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Isabella Smith, Elizabeth Smith, Clara Goldman, George and Walton Goldman. He is also survived by cats, dogs, and birds.
