It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jack Bridges of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, who passed away on August 5, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Jack may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Bridges and Georgia Tandy Bridges; and his siblings, Alfred Bridges, Stanley Bridges, Sam "Pete" Bridges Jr., Juanita Trail, Sally Wynn, Serena "Sweets" Black and Barbara Dorsey.
He is survived by: his daughter Rolanda Whitlock (Frank); his sister Elsie Hooper; and his cousin Leslie Sutfin Jr. (Yvonne). He is also survived by 3 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Gamble Funeral Home (1311 Liberty St, Hopkinsville, KY 42240). A burial was held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM.
