She was predeceased by: her parents, Shelby J. Wagner and Myrtle B. Sullivan Wagner; her husband James William "Bill" Hinton; and her granddaughter Jena Rae Hinton. She is survived by: her children, Julie Kae Hinton of Hopkinsville, KY, James Hinton (Pam) of Hopkinsville, KY and Joy Hinton Langdon (Nathan) of Columbus, IN; her grandchildren, Jeff Hill (Tina), Jade Hinton, Jacob Hinton (Cady), Rachel Langdon and Jesse Langdon; and her great grandchildren, Caroline Hall and Olivia Hinton.
