Though Judith may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Judith touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Prentice Allen and Dorothy Louise Wetton Allen; and her sisters, Elizabeth Carolyn Allen Sanford and Anita Louise Allen Ellis. She is survived by: her husband Larry Shemwell of Hopkinsville, KY; her children, Scott L. Shemwell of Hopkinsville, KY and Stephanie Hotson (Aron) of Hopkinsville, KY; and her grandchildren, Cadence Michelle Hotson and Donovan Christopher Hotson.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home (2504 S Virginia St, Hopkinsville, KY 42240). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
