He was predeceased by: his parents, Sarah Grooms and James Hancock, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Della Hancock; his children, Trenita Anderson (Leman), DeNessa Dickey, Eglacia Hancock, Aglacia Dickey, Juanita Bingham and Shauntae Fletcher (Demarcus); his brother James Hancock, Jr.; and his sibling's children, James Bush and Syrivia Cavanaugh. He is also survived by grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Gamble Funeral Home (1311 Liberty St, Hopkinsville, KY 42240). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
