She was predeceased by : her parents, Phillips Haley and Essie Haley; and her brother-in-law Wallace "Ros" Roberts. She is survived by : her husband Dr. Gary Spencer; her children, Tracy Spencer Clark (Troy) of Maryville, TN and Dr. Brian Spencer (Suzanne Segbarth) of Hanson, KY; her sister Rita Haley Roberts; and her grandchildren, Seth Spencer, Garrett Clark, Molly Spencer, Grant Clark and Claire Spencer.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Christian County Humane Society or Second Baptist Church.
