She was predeceased by: her parents, Myrtle Ogden (Tetrick) and Bertis Ogden; her husband Jesse Newlon; her son Donald Newlon; and her siblings, Arley "Jack Ogden" Doak, Betty Ryan and Peggy Moody.

She is survived by: her daughters, Charlotte Wilhelm (Clayton) of Dawson Springs, KY and Robin Lane (Brian) of Youngstown, OH; and her sister Sue Shook of Virginia. She is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
