It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Swearingen of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, born in Woodstock, Illinois, who passed away on April 10, 2024, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Ralph Swearingen and Mary Rose Swearingen (Silk); and his sister Norma Dose. He is survived by : his wife Betty Cook Swearingen; his daughter Julie Swearingen Jones (David) of Hopkinsville; his grandchildren, Preston Jones and Connar Margaret Jones; and his brother-in-law Edward Dose of Crystal Lake. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Goodwin Funeral Home Inc. (138 Main St, Cadiz, KY 42211). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
