It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Louis R. Shepherd of Horse Branch, Kentucky, who passed away on April 23, 2024, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Boyd and Agnes Irene Wheeler Shepherd; and his brothers, Douglas Shepherd, Clyde Shepherd and Harold "Red" Shepherd.

He is survived by : his sister Carolyn Harris; his daughter Crystal Murphy (Aaron); his pets, Stephanie Shepherd (Nick) and Branch; his brother Steve Shepherd of Rutherfordton; and his grandchildren, Tristen, Kyleigh, Colton, McKenzie and Gatlin.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the William L. Danks Funeral Home (222 N Lafayette St, Beaver Dam, KY 42320). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at the Horse Branch General Baptist Church (121 Olaton Rd, Horse Branch, KY 42349).
