He was predeceased by : his father James Barton; and his sister Hester Kaye Owens. He is survived by : his close friend Rhoda Slone; his sons, Travis James Owens (Megan) of Cumberland, Dustin Glen Owens of Mayking and Joshua Owens of Mayking, Kentucky; his stepsons, Chris Slone (Megan) of Hueysville, Kentucky and Austin Slone (Shelly) of Hueysville, Kentucky; his sisters, Patricia Owens Webb of Whitesburg and Sheila Owens Holbrook (Mitchell) of Mayking, Kentucky; and his grandchildren, Blakeleigh Owens, Elliana Owens and Jaxson Hurt. He is also survived by 10 Step Grandchildren & 1 Step Great Grandchild.
