She was predeceased by : her parents, John F. Ulmer and Florence Vetter Ulmer; her husband John W. "Bill" Gowin; and her brothers, Horace and J. T. Ulmer.

She is survived by : her children, John W. Gowin III (Peggy Heustis), Suzanne M. Felder (Roy) and Denise Gowin; her granddaughters, Ruth A. Stanton (Chase) and Grace E. Miller (Zach); and her great grandchild Paisley Miller.
