He was predeceased by : his parents, Theodore Roosevelt McDonald, Sr. and Evelyn Grace McDonald (Berley); and his siblings, Dorothy Glass, Ruth Minch, Carla Boelke and John "Jack" McDonald.

He is survived by : his wife Rose Ann McDonald; and his children, Mark McDonald (Tonya), Thomas McDonald (Sharon), Gemma Howard (Paul) and Martha Clute (Steve).

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home (3800 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY 40218). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Bernard Catholic Church (7500 Tangelo Dr, Louisville, KY 40228).
