It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas E. Kargl Sr. (Jeffersontown, Kentucky), born in Rock Island, Illinois, who passed away on July 15, 2019, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mathias Kargl and Eleanor Kargl (Brand); and his parents-in-law, Charles Sr. and Alma Meyer (Paul). He is survived by: his wife Imelda J. Kargl (Meyer); and his children, Katrina, Thomas, Jr. (Karen), Steven (Lori), Leigh Ann (Tom Salatto), Sue, Terri, Deb and Mark (Kathy). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren.
Through his love of gardening, Tom provided fresh fruits and vegetables to those in need through donations to SEAM, Sister Visitors, and the Franciscan Soup Kitchen.
