It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nancy Marie Stewart Howerton of La Grange, Kentucky, who passed away on July 4, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eddie Cesna Stewart and Evelyn Watson-Shaw; her foster parents, James Snyder and Elizabeth Snyder Rowe; her brother Robert Stewart; her foster siblings, James Snyder, Barbara Harry and Mary Sharp; and her siblings-in-law, Nancy Stewart, Charlene Yates, Mildred Sillings, Rose Mary Bowman, Deloris Howerton, Melborn Gene Howerton, David Glen Howerton, James E Howerton and Terry Lee Howerton.
She is survived by: her sons, Tracy Howerton (Julie) of Bedford and Terry Howerton II of Campbellsburg, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Chandler (Abby), Sydney, Audrey and Adeline; her brothers, Richard Stewart (Marie) of Houston, Daniel Yates (Phyllis) of Jacksonville and Dennis Yates of Guston, Kentucky; her foster sister Jean Maurer of Findlay, Ohio; and her sisters-in-law, Helen Lunch of Branchville and Sherry Marsh of New Albany, Indiana. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
