She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert J. Penny and Flora Bond Penny; her daughter Rita Penny; her granddaughter Nikki Jones; and her siblings, Lucy Murphy, Alice Bixler, Flora Anna McKee, William and Robert Penny.
She is survived by: her children, Kim Gray, Joey Penny, Susan Penny and Stephanie Penny; and her grandchildren, Kayla Gray, Amber Furlow (Stuart), CJ Penny, Cobe Penny, Duane Jones, Kenny Jones, Blake Penny, Amanda Greene, Jeonna Newsome and Jeniece Newsome. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
