She was predeceased by : her husband Arthur "Hilary" Samuels; her sons, Roger Samuels and Sherman Samuels (Marcella); her grandchild Joey Samuels; her parents, Gudley Kappel and Bessie Story Kappel; and her siblings, Anna Wakefield and John Kappel.

She is survived by : her children, Freda Arnold (Donnie), Margie Noe (Dale), James Samuels (Katrina), Carroll Samuels (Debbie), Tommy Samuels (Robyn) and Danny Samuels (Cheryl). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
