He was predeceased by : his father Clarence Willard Buckman; his wife Regina Faye Buckman; his siblings, Harold Buckman, Fabian Buckman, Helen Cissell and Geraldine Abell Cissell; and his sisters-in-law, Myrtle Ann Buckman and Gwen Buckman.

He is survived by : his children, Michelle Farmer (Donnie) of Lebanon, Mitchell Buckman (Diane) of Cookeville, Michael Buckman (Sandy) of Bedford, John Buckman (Holly) of Lebanon and Brendan Buckman (Michelle) of Lebanon; his brothers, Curtis Buckman of Louisville, Bernard Buckman (Kaye) of Lebanon and Ronald Buckman (Suzanne) of Lebanon; and his grandchildren, Emily Clark (John) of Austin, Brandy Bell (Jamie) of Martinsville, Jayme Buckman of Bedford, Chelsie Buckman of Fort Collins, Casey Tiller of Lexington, Lindsey Buckman of Lexington, Luc Buckman of Lexington, Travis Farmer (Sarah) of Lexington and Gina Miller (Andrew) of Lexington. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
