With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rene Carteyn of Lewisport, Kentucky, born in Bryan, Ohio, who passed away on September 27, 2020 at the age of 89. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Rene Carteyn to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Rene Carteyn and Lillian Carteyn (Cooley); and his former life partner Della Carteyn. He is survived by : his wife Juanita Johnson; and his stepchildren, Jeffery Nichols (Sharon) and Debbie Beck (Jerry).

Due to the ongoing pandemic, a celebration of life will be held at a later date in Kentucky.

The family asks those remembering Rene to make memorial contributions to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Association.
