It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emma Gay Bruton (Lexington, Kentucky), born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on January 31, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Emma Ruth Dixon and Frank Burse; her husband Paul; and her sisters, Willetta Eubanks and Mary McFarland.

She is survived by: her children, Ricardo Hines of Cincinatti, Victoria Gay of Houston and Renita Gay; her grandsons, Barry W. Bowman, Jr., Johnathon Hines and Walter Hines; and her siblings, Christine Blackford and Eugene Dixon. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
