With solemn reverence, we commemorate Lucy Milward of Lexington, Kentucky, whose life came to an end on August 6, 2025 at the age of 85, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Emmet and Rebecca Hart Shelby Milward; her grandparents, W. R. "Will" and Lucy Harris Milward; her great-grandparents, Isaac Shelby and Governor of Kentucky; and her grandmother Dena Shelby Diehl of Danville, KY.
She is survived by: her sons, Christopher Sanchez (Diane) of Movellan and Anthony Sanchez (Margy); her grandchildren, Rebecca, Brooke, Antonio IV, Anna Kathryn and Lucy Ann Sanchez of Movellan; and her brother Robert E. Milward.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Milward Funeral Directors (159 N Broadway, Lexington, KY 40507). A burial was held on Friday, August 22nd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 10:45 AM. A graveside service was held on Friday, August 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lexington Cemetery (833 W Main St, Lexington, KY 40508).
