Regis J. Lynskey Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Regis J. Lynskey (Lexington, Kentucky), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 19, 2025 at the age of 91. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Regis J. Lynskey to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his former wife Mary Hinnebusch; and his son Michael Lynskey. He is survived by: his wife Dean; his daughter Rosemarie Thurston (David); his grandchildren, Rachel Burzynski (Sarah), Michael Thurston (Pavini) and Matthew Thurston (Baylee); and his stepchildren, Judy Blackburn, Bonnie Erdeman, Debbie Push, Gary Underwood (Alice) and Connie Williams (Gary).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church (601 Hill N Dale Rd, Lexington, KY 40503). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Catholic Charities Atlanta, 2401 Lake Park Drive SE, Smyrna, Georgia 30080, in recognition of the organization's role in the 1961 adoption of Regis's beloved son, Michael.
