He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Sr. Pope and Ethel Pope of Lexington, Kentucky.; his siblings, Leslie Jr., Stinnett, Florence, Elizabeth, Betty, Mattie and Ella Mae; and his grandson Jeremy Pope.

He is survived by: his wife Cordia Pope; his children, Vivian Bledsoe (John), Robert Pope, Jr. (Brenda) and Odessa Wells (Alvin); his granddaughter Kiyoka Wells; and his great grandchild J'Marcus Pope. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.
