She was predeceased by: her husband Don Summers; her parents, Rex Langley and Dorothy Langley; and her stepfather John Albert Pirtle. She is survived by: her children, Cynthia, Kathleen, Mark (Lucy), Greg and Chip (Amy Thompson); her grandchildren, Jessie Thomas (Josh), Matthew Summers, Russ Koenig, Emily Koenig Afzal (Scott), Thompson Summers and Holden Summers; her great grandchildren, Evelyn, Julia, Everett and Theo; and her half-brother John Pirtle Jr..
In lieu of flowers the family asks expressions of sympathy be made to Catholic Action Center, Sisters of the Providence or Christian Appalachian Project.
