He is survived by: his children, Dustin Thompson of New Hope and Kendra DeWitt of Elizabethtown; and his siblings, Connie Mattingly (Julie Robey), Sharon Donahue (Barbara Mudd), Wanda Davis of New Hope, Doris Lamkin (Nancy Leigh), Tommy Thompson (Mary) of Saint Francis, Jim Thompson (Madeline) of Saint Francis, Mark Thompson of Saint Francis, John Thompson of Raywick and Dan Thompson (Glenna) of Raywick. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
