He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Janet Cissell; his son James Leo Cissell; his parents, Bernard Leo and Mary Zita Miles Cissell; and his siblings, Geneva Walker, Mary Florence Sapp and Tony Cissell.
He is survived by: his children, Lori Ann Hill (Bobby Delaney) of Loretto, Pam Ballard (Jim) of Greenbriar and Joey Cissell (Margaret) of Loretto; his grandchildren, Matthew Hill (Jessica Cammack), Wesley Hill (P. J. Hale), Justin Cissell (Deana Shelton), Derek Cissell (Stephanie), Ashley Cissell, Stephanie Tipton (Charlie) and Kayla Grayson (Kevin); his siblings, Mary Jane Nugent (Ray) of Loretto, Donald Cissell (Norma Jean) of Loretto, Leon Cissell (Rose) of Loretto, Bob Cissell of Loretto and Charles Cissell of Bardstown; and his siblings-in-law, Evelyn Cissell of Loretto, Shirley Cissell of Louisville, Tom "Leachman" Walker of Bardstown and Leslie Sapp of Loretto. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
