He is survived by: his spouse Susan Higdon Miles; his sons, Thomas "Ted" (Patricia Ortigoza) of Baltimore and James Steven Miles, Jr. of Loretto; his parent Betty Spalding Miles of Loretto; and his siblings, Diane Hagan (Larry) of Loretto, Gail Medley (Doug) of Loretto, Kathy Greenwell of Bardstown, Linda Smith (Leo) of Raywick, Sandy Sharp (Todd) of Fort Myers, Mary Kay Anderson (Troy) of Louisville and Keith Miles (Karen) of Lone Grove.
