He was predeceased by: his parents, Armin Chester Wihlon and Wilma Tucker Wallace; and his sister Alice Waters. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Wihlon; his sons, Rick Wihlon (Kathi), Nick Wihlon (Lynn), Chris Wihlon (Michelle), Patrick Wihlon (Karen) and Victor Wihlon (Flora); his grandchildren, Jared Shoupe, Hayley Trotter, Daniel Wihlon, Paige Wihlon, Jordan Wihlon, Andrew Wihlon, Austin Kelly, Chase Kelly, Victoria Spurlock and Zachary Ferguson; and his sister Judy VanHollebeke (Jerry).
