He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Woodrow Stillwell and Ursula Irene Stillwell (Joyce); his wife Shirley Ann Stillwell (Hopkins); and his siblings, Dennis Stillwell and Gloria Curry.

He is survived by: his daughters, Shelly Renneisen (Michael) and Amy Hill (Nick); and his grandchildren, Shelby Renneisen and Jacob Renneisen.
