We bid farewell to Asa I. Gillespie of Louisville, Kentucky, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 22, 2024 at the age of 96. Asa touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by : his parents, Floyd Gillespie and Effie Lawson Gillespie; his wife Claudyne; and his siblings, Bill, Carl, Charles, Ila Mae, Wanda, Fern, Lillian, Jean and Eula.

He is survived by : his son Asa L; his grandsons, Aaron L (Charity), Aaron M (Britany) and Ryan E (Elizabeth); his great grandchildren, Ellis, Wesley, George and Declan; and his sister Ruth. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Christian Assembly Church (9020 Stonestreet Rd, Louisville, KY 40272). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at the Beth Haven Memorial Gardens (5515 Johnsontown Rd, Louisville, KY 40258).

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts are suggested to be made to Christian Assembly Church in his memory.
