It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jean Simpson of Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on September 13, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Coy Bishop and Lizzie Jordan Bishop; her husband Leon Simpson; her children, Ricky and Carolyn; and her grandchildren, Austine, Rodney and Desmond.

She is survived by: her children, Austin, David (Lynne), Leonard, Hattie and Pam; and her sister Jimmie Bridwell. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.
