She was predeceased by: her husband Charles W. Hammond, Sr.; her sons, Manuel E. Vanlier, Jr. and Mark Anthony Vanlier (Andrea); and her grandsons, Edward Scales and Tywan Hatcher.
She is survived by: her children, Tyrone Vanlier, Sr., Margaret Jarrett (Greg), Troy Vanlier, Sr., Betty Turner, James Vanlier, Sr. (Cheryl), Shawn Vanlier and Territa Ennis; her niece Janice Curry; and her godchildren, Ophia McCray, Jetton Hadley and Juwan Evans. She is also survived by 35 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren.
