In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Josephine Garris (Wilkins) and James Garris; her husband Sanford "Sandy" Smiley, Jr.; and her in-laws, Helen and Sanford Louis Smiley.
She is survived by: her son Sanford "Lou" Smiley III (Dee); her siblings, Jimmy Garris, Courtland Garris (Marcia), Ray Garris (Mary) and Judy Jaggers (Joe); and her friend Choyia Sharp. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
