He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Decatur Colvin and Ruby Carroll Colvin; his wife Trudy Butler Colvin; his children, Dr. Rachel Dianne Torres and Adam R. Colvin; his grandchildren, Isvara Torres, Harper Colvin and Henry Colvin; and his sister-in-law Ellen.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Ratterman Funeral Home (3711 Lexington Rd, Louisville, KY 40207). A burial will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at the Cave Hill Cemetery (701 Baxter Ave, Louisville, KY 40204).
