She was predeceased by: her parents, Ada Mae and John S. Chasteen; her husband Anthony "Redd" Portman; and her sister Johnetta "Sue" Childress. She is survived by: her sons, Dean Portman (Dana), Michael "Mike" Portman (Christie) and William "Rusty" Portman (Jan); and her sisters, Doris Dalton, C. Juanita Forsting and Ruth Miller (Johnny). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
