He was predeceased by : his mother Virginia Johnson. He is survived by : his wife Susan M. Johnson; his sons, Blake C. Johnson, Matthew R. Johnson and Ryan M. Johnson; his mother-in-law Joan R. McClarty; his siblings-in-law, David McClarty and Kyle M. Penn; his nieces and nephews, Kristen Hill (Don), Nicole McClarty, Hiram Penn and Alex McClarty; his great-nephew Max McClarty; his uncle Weldon James; his cousins, Debbie Cecil and Tony James (Lynette); and also, Alex Cecil and Claire James.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, May 1st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Stoess Funeral Home (6534 State Hwy 22, Crestwood, KY 40014). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 1st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
