Porter; his children, Gene Arthur Porter, Bonnie Louise Williams, Darrell Lee Porter, Ronnie Porter and Antiwan Watkins; his children-in-law, Joseph Ridley, Jackie Porter and Rita Mae Porter; his siblings, Mary Elizabeth McDonald (James), John Henry Porter (Ella Louise), Mary Angela Simpson (Paul), Leo Clements Porter (Carmelita Edwards) and Willie Mae Mattingly (William); and his brother-in-law Robert "Bobby" Bell.

He is survived by: his children, Charles L. Porter Jr. (Jennifer), James Edward Porter, Douglas Allen Porter, Donald Willis Porter (Darnese), Theresa Ridley, Markus Lee Porter (Lisa), Tony Ray Porter, Sherriell Lee Porter, Peggy Ann Porter, Edith Mae Porter, Remondra Wilson (Anthony) and Remond Watkins; his son-in-law Brian Williams; and his sisters, Lucy Martina Evans (Jeroyd) and Alice Dorothy Bell. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
