He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Portman (Sims) and Charles E. Portman; his wife Mary Ann Portman (Blandford); and his siblings, James, Bernard, Jeri, Mary, Wanda and LaVerne.
He is survived by: his children, Susan E. Portman and Charlie Portman (Candace); and his grandchild Chase Portman.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Owen Funeral Home (5317 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40216). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Catholic Church (6901 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40216).
