She is survived by: her children, Rodney, Nina, Michael, LaJean, Paul, Tawana, Kimberly and Ricky Strickland; her close friend Jerry Hill; and her siblings, James Owens Jr., Anna Clark, Faye Ellis, Marvis Shanks and Challis Young. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
