She was predeceased by : her father Edward Burda. She is survived by : her spouse Linda Wemes; her mother Rita Burda; her brothers, James (Kathy) and Robert (Susie); her stepdaughter Traci Lind (Oliver); her nephew Bryan (Alanna); and her niece Melissa Messinger (Brad).

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home (3331 Taylorsville Rd, Louisville, KY 40205). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, May 1st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Agnes Catholic Church (1920 Newburg Rd, Louisville, KY 40205).

"Deb and Linda's Derby Party" and various golf charity parties were legendary, filled with laughter, music, and karaoke.
