It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ellen Kavanagh Marshall (Louisville, Kentucky), born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on September 4, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Bess and Matthew Kavanagh; her children, Annette Marshall Wallace (Stephen) of Knoxville and Phillip L. Marshall (Kathi) of Louisville; her grandchildren, Eric M. Wallace, Elizabeth W. Sowell (Blake), Kevin G. Marshall (Whitney), Emily E. Miller (Max) and John F. Marshall; Ingrid, Debra and Tunde.

“Phil & family, Your Mother, Ellen, and Dad were in some of my new member classes that I led in the 1990's for 2nd Pres. I quickly grew fond of both of them...who wouldn't?! I know she is in a better place and that you have been "losing" her for years. But I hope you can carry those memories of previous years with you. You were so fortunate to have them as parents. I also designed her foyer floor in the Glenview with dark stairs....the same idea is in the Lourve. God's peace, Sharon Stern”
