It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emily Jean Barker of Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on December 22, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert E. Stone and Frances C. Hughes Stone; her husband Walter Louis Barker; her son-in-law Ronald Wayne Boyd; and her sister-in-law Shirley Stone.

She is survived by: her children, Douglas, Richard Browning and Pamela Boyd; her grandsons, Wayne (Gretchen) and Tim Boyd (Elizabeth); her great grandchildren, Chase Boyd, Emily Whittaker (Hank), Abby Boyd (Landon) and Stella Murphy (Duncan); her granddaughters, Emily and Audrey Greene; her great great grandchildren, Dallas and Paisley; and her pets, Peanut and Taco.

Memorial gifts in the form of contributions may be made to the Humane Society or Hosparus of Louisville.
